The Last of Assassin's Creed Golden Era

It has the best movement in the series except for some bugs and when bro misses the assassin leap of faith and dies epicly. However, I still think nothing can top Ezio collection since I played it when I was 13, and it was so peak, great soundtrack and story. You can say it's blind by nostalgia, but I really believe it's superior to anything after it, pure aura. The brutality of the killing and showing beheadings and heads on spikes, really show a realistic state of the French Revolution and as a history geology nut made me like this game as this series does one thing great is showing history in educational way lowkey.

Unity falls in that compartment, terrible British voice acting that ruins immersion, play on French as it fits way better or not. The crowds and amount of npcs was huge for the time and the animations makes it for a great ac but for platinum not so much because of repetitive nature of lock picking and coop which online is so buggy and laggy after being fixed. I dislike the brotherhood in this game and atp it's just some nepotism elitism, you dont really get a force of nature like Ezio but still arno who becomes a drunk and becomes lame asf then gets revenge. So wish it would get better in a future sequel, the setting and landscape is amazing exploring france is great but crowds and how slow he can be getting around is annoying especially with so much to get. Ezio had a horse but yet Arno isn't really a trackstar, love the series except for ubisoft Quebec acs. They were really gems at the time of release which people don't really realise. Me doing it within a week however was a bullet to my mental.

The implementation of online ruins this game a little since skill points are behind coop missions, if the coop actually was stable it would be fun and if you had friends this would be amazing and really cement it as one of the best in the series. Nothing lasts forever as how old it is, these problems arise so it would be great to see a remake or a ps5 version to squash all the bugs. This is ubisoft we're talking about so they probably will not, I've had some bugs where you get shot climb and then stuck in falling animation on a wall which ruins my mission and had to start over from the checkpoint.

I can't help but give props where they're due, and the skills really enhance this game. As a lore wise Assassin's Creed the game is definitely great but doesn't fit for me. On the other hand, if its like its own standalone game, if you think about it that way it's top tier. Well you could say it about the latest Japanese setting AC where it's great as a rpg but not an Assassin game because it doesnt even show much of the Templars. Perspectives can change your whole opinion on something, but looking overall and when you remember Unity it was amazing, although grinding it can be frustrating. Still that's just me. Another great thing in this, is the customisation of making your character which is a great thing, but I had to have to Ezio drip as nothing can beat my goat.

Like the skills in this game elevate the gameplay so much, something's carrying it. For example, Assassin's cache is amazing and the skills are a good change and refreshing take when it released. I like that is improved on black flag, but Unity didn't deliver in the narrative way, but gameplay wise can beat ac4 depending on what you're thinking about. However, the amount of gun spam the enemies do brings a challenge which can be good like you playing souls dodging like French John Wick, but sometimes there are too many enemies that spam guns to the point you can get one shot without a dodge prompt if you have un-upgraded health which is bullcrap. This results in having to abuse smokes to kill everything if you are going for a speedy playthrough, otherwise you'll be anguish dealing with the terrible enemies. It does have a skill gap in gameplay as well as not until I had training rooms left as my last trophy, I found you can heavy attack to deal with the annoying enemies lol.

Another thing is loading screens, something that could be improved, like why I need a loading screen for every training. With the all of this and travelling feels like it purposely waste my time to make the experience longer. Of course this is from 2010s so ps4 doesn't have capability for it, but something needed for ps5 version. Which is why I've been on ps5 supremacy lately since the loading times save so much time, that I didn't realise. It would be amazing to see this one expanded as I felt like it was too short, it does tie into Rogue, but I can't get enough of these types of games. Syndicate too was amazing as the rope mechanics fit so well into travelling which was missing in Unity. Ubisoft, please lock in. GGZ otherwise.
