Zoro & Sanji

Favourite Rivalry in Anime/Manga - ⠑⠊⠑⠑⠑⠊⠑⠑⠑⠊⠑⠑⠑⠊⠑⠑⠑⠊⠑ My favourite rivalry in anime would have to be Zoro and Sanji from the anime One Piece, the dynamic between the two of both being super alike to each other because everyone of the strawhats are friends so the type of rivalry they have isn’t with any bad blood. Zanji are always neck and neck with each other because of how similar to one another they are, Luffy’s crew always dreams to be the best so the two of them fight to be the better man by comparing bounties. This creates silly shenanigans they both do which at times can be just to out petty the other one which creates for hilarious moments with the two fighting, where it would start with one of them dissing the other with some funny joke and they’d start to duke it out. The comedy in One Piece never gets old for me just like when Brook says his classic line “But I'm already dead” and id crack up even though I heard it 100 times; just like when Soro fight they could have th...

Serial Experiments Lain

Image
This anime I will be talking about is called Serial Experiments Lain, an honest masterpiece and clear savant of science fiction that was for its time, but now most of the stuff is becoming more real than ever with the advances in technology. The year is 1998; the internet is in its infancy and technology is shifting to a new era that might have outcomes of you being glued to a chair for 4 hours watching the entire series of Attack on Titan season 4 just to have a lot of regret about that decision and wondering why you waited 6 years for this. This anime is about those consequences of unrestricted internet access but with a creative avant-garde 90s vision of technology that’s rooted in fiction. From the character designer that would later work on Kino's Journey and Haibane Renmei, and writers of Texhnolyze this anime was super complex and revolutionary from the get-go. Lain being a shy person is always on that god dang phone and pooter had a brilliant idea of merging with t...

Revy

Image
Revy is an amazing character from the anime Black Lagoon because others close to her have fun under her  wing in the Lagoon Company. She lives on the edge everyday risking her life for the thrill and sadistic urge to kill anyone in her way, even innocent people with zero remorse, a true psychopath. I like her personality as she is very savage, mean and cool which makes her super badass; one of the most coolest characters in anime and it's a female, this is real equality right here. Nothing can stop her as she is always determined to fight even when she shouldn't because she doesn't give two flips about keeps anything, she does whatever she wants and it's 100% being herself while not being afraid to cause trouble. She may be a terrible person in theory but at least she is true to herself and keeping it really honest, some say she's evil in one sense but in this context she is actually the most open book which is far from evil when she's not fighting. Revy all her...

Prince Vegeta

Image
Vegeta is my favourite character in Dragon Ball Z because he is an unlikely hero, which is pretty uncommon in the space of anime. I think he is so interesting for this very reason, although he was meant to be the first villain we encountered in dbz; he becomes self aware and goes on a journey to find himself. I think that is why Vegeta is more loved than hated in the fanbase because everyone can relate to him. He is by far the most petty and savage person in the anime but in a funny and good way, he says things no one else would dare to say. Vegeta being grounded in reality and because he is the devil’s advocate on everything, makes him so likeable as the anime is seen as everything over the top. As the nature of the anime is like this, that’s why Vegeta stands out so much because he is the most unique character in dbz. Vegeta's unwavering determination to surpass all his rivals, no matter what it will be, even if it's doing what others like Goku wouldn’t do. This makes him th...

Hair Colour in Anime | Collab

Image
If you didn’t know which most of you don’t, is that I’m basically the godfather of symbolism in blogs. In 2018 I did symbolism and my colours in anime series of blogs which other bloggers have taken the idea since I did mine. (jk idk if I founded it but certainly when I came up with the idea, no one else was doing it at the time) In this blog will be talking about the hair colour of anime characters, which is actually way deeper than you might think! In anime, producers and artists most often use a certain chart of hair colour relating to their personality and character, so without wasting anymore time; let’s explore this secret information from the industry, let’s a go!! Coma's Turn  Asuka Langley Orange Asuka’s hair is the colour of orange, a somewhat common colour in anime. Asuka’s character is very extroverted and fiery, the colour orange is like the hair on a lion’s mane and she has the courage, aggression, and confidence of a lion. As a lion you must always be strong and put ...

Why Sakura Haruno is Useless

Original Naruto When I think of the most annoying character in anime, the first person that comes to mind is Sakura Haruno and rightfully so; In Naruto, she is always dreaming about Sasuke throughout the show even her crush finds her that way. She may be the brains and have perfect scores but when it comes to an actual fight she is outshined by the others. Even on missions she just tends to Sasuke in the Land of Tea escort mission while Naruto beats the bad guy; my opinion is that Sakura should have never been in the trio. Imagine how much better it would have been with someone strong and useful. The chunin exams she ties in battle with Ino a slightly better girl character than Sakura but Ino is just Sakura 2.0 and in the tournament, she adds nothing to it except cheering for Sasuke. I have never hated a character as much as her because of how her character is in general. There are plenty of times where Sakura wasn’t needed or unwanted, for me because remember when Sasuke gets the...

Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis

Image
Pros The premise of the show, the show encompasses deities, mythology, historic figures, gods and demons. Very likeable cast of characters, there personalities and traits, the anime has a lot of interesting concepts and ideas that are very unique and one of a kind. A lot of amazing character designs of famous deities, demons and figures Cons The only thing I disliked about the anime is that I felt the anime had so much more potential because of all the fascinating concepts and character designs that having just two seasons doesn't give this franchise enough justice and would love for more input and stuff to come out of this universe. So in other words I need more of this show xD Information 12 Episodes Fall 2014 Action, Adventure, Demons, Fantasy, Magic, Supernatural MAPPA Studio English title: Rage Of Bahamut Synopsis A ancient dragon which is the most infamous terrifying monster of them all, that no one could go up aganist this immensely petrifying behemoth who's name is ba...
